Another 20 thousand surveillance cameras to be installed in Minsk courtyards

Minsk is actively creating a unified video surveillance system in the residential sector.

They plan to install 20 thousand video cameras, Belta writes.

More than 1,000 video cameras have already been installed in the capital's residential sector, and this number will triple by the end of the year. The project is planned to be completed within two years. Currently, Beltelecom specialists continue to survey residential buildings to determine locations for installing video cameras.

"More than 58% of residential buildings have already been surveyed. Specialists are identifying three points on their facades where video cameras will subsequently be installed. They will be primarily directed at children's and container playgrounds, and pedestrian pathways. This will allow monitoring the quality and timeliness of housing and communal services such as waste removal, proper maintenance of children's playgrounds, and cleaning of adjacent territories. And, as a result, — the creation of comfortable and safe living conditions for citizens," said Marina Toustsik, General Director of the State Association "Minsk City Housing and Utilities."

The possibility of additionally equipping multi-apartment residential buildings with cameras that will conduct online video surveillance from the street and road network side is also being worked out. They will be directed at green areas and driveways.

Камеры - только первый шаг к по-настоящему заботливому двору. Дальше можно добавить КПП, забор, досмотр на входе и комендантский час - всё исключительно ради комфорта, порядка и безопасности жителей
