On the night of August 31, a Russian jet drone used Belarusian airspace to attack Ukraine. At 02:30, a Ukrainian monitoring channel reported that the drone was heading towards Tserukha in the Gomel district, having flown in from the territory of Ukraine, Flagstok writes .

The same drone, a few minutes later, was already heading towards Rechytsa, then towards Vasilevichy. At 02:44 – towards Naroulia.
At 02:53, the drone was already maneuvering in the Naroulia area, which led to an air raid alert being declared in the Zhytomyr region.
However, it seems this UAV headed in a different direction: around 3 AM, it flew out of Belarus into Ukraine, heading for the exclusion zone in the Kyiv region.
The previous incursion into the Gomel region by a Russian jet drone was recorded on the morning of August 29. Before that, on the night of August 22, a "Banderol" circled over the region but never flew into Ukraine.
On the night of August 14, an incursion was recorded, and in the afternoon – a Russian UAV flying out from the Belarusian Chernobyl zone into the Kyiv region.
Over the rest of the month, there were no further reports on monitoring channels about violations of Belarusian airspace. However, residents of the Gomel region observed drone flights.
On August 20, around 05:25 in the Central district of Gomel, unusual very loud sounds were heard in the sky. Based on eyewitness descriptions, it can be assumed that it was the sound of a drone flying over and an explosion, or the flight of a fighter jet.
On the evening of August 25, residents of Zhlobin heard a loud, distinctive sound and assumed that a jet drone was flying over the city. The same evening, a fighter jet was observed flying low — over the workshops of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant and in the city center.
Thus, at least 7 Russian UAVs entered the Gomel region during August.
The actual number of flights over the territory of the Gomel region may be significantly higher. With the transition to jet engines for UAVs, the number of recorded flights likely decreased. Such drones, due to their higher speed, are in flight for less time, and they lack the distinctive "moped-like" sound.
