Death of Russian General's Son-in-Law Confirmed in Moscow Restaurant Explosion
A state database confirmed the death of Alexander Chaiko's son-in-law, the head of the Russian Aerospace Forces, following an explosion on August 1 near a restaurant in Moscow.
One of the personal documents belonging to Daniil Peredrii, son-in-law of Alexander Chaiko, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, was declared invalid, "Agency" found out. This confirms information that he died during an explosion at the Balzi Rossi restaurant in Moscow.

On Sunday, pro-Russian blogger Anatoly Shariy wrote about the deceased Peredrii. He reported that the daughter of the Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces, Maria Chaiko, might have been injured in the explosion, and her husband, Daniil Peredrii, died. "Verstka" also reported that the general's daughter was among the injured, citing a source.
According to leaks, she changed her surname from Chaiko to Peredrii in 2025. The wedding was held last June in a premium settlement near Rublyovka.
On August 1, the 55th birthday of General Alexander Chaiko, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, was being celebrated at the restaurant, which was closed for private service.
According to available information, the general himself was not injured.
In 2022, Alexander Chaiko commanded the offensive on Kyiv and is under EU sanctions due to his involvement in war crimes in Bucha.
