Latvian border crossing "Pāternieki" on the border with Belarus remains closed
No official notifications have been sent to the Belarusian side, reports the Telegram channel Infotrans Media Belarus.

The State Border Committee of Belarus does not confirm Latvia's closure of the border with Belarus. According to the agency, no official information has yet been received from the competent authorities of Latvia.
The State Border Committee website reports that there is no queue of cars and buses at the Belarusian border crossing "Hryharawshchyna", but ten trucks are waiting.
During the night, there was a queue of cars, but it disappeared.

Yesterday, Latvia announced the closure of its border with Belarus.
Latvian Interior Minister Jānis Dambrava officially explained this by "technical reasons." He urged citizens still in Belarus to return to Latvia via other routes.
Until now, only one border crossing point operated between Belarus and Latvia: Hryharawshchyna — Pāternieki.
The decision was made amid an increase in attempts by migrants to illegally cross the Belarusian-Latvian border. According to Latvian authorities, dozens of such attempts have been recorded daily in recent weeks.
