On July 31, training sessions with the homeland defense were held in the agro-town of Soly, Smarhon district. As the local district newspaper "Svetly shlyakh" reports : "Volunteers, ready to defend the country if necessary, gathered to refresh their knowledge of legislation, recall the rules of handling weapons, and practice practical skills."
According to Siarhei Kuzmenka, head of the territorial defense group of the Smarhon military commissariat:
“Volunteers were informed about legislative acts on the legal bases of their activities in the homeland defense, the procedure for obtaining weapons and ammunition, the organization of their issuance, assignment, and record-keeping, as well as safety requirements for handling weapons and ammunition.
It is pleasant to see concerned people who, regardless of age, are ready with great enthusiasm to provide assistance and support to the Armed Forces of their country in fulfilling assigned tasks.”
