The head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, stated that air defense systems repelled the attack, but after fragments of one of the downed drones fell in the industrial zone, smoke appeared. According to him, there were no casualties, and emergency services are eliminating the consequences.

According to reports and analysis of video footage from the scene, a fire broke out at the Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim oil refinery after the attack. Large plumes of black smoke were visible over the enterprise. Ukrainian monitoring resources reported at least three centers of ignition.

"Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim" is part of the Ufa oil refining complex of the "Rosneft" company. The plant produces automotive fuel, petroleum coke, liquefied gases, sulfur, and other petroleum products. Together with two other enterprises, the complex processes up to 23.5 million tons of oil per year and is considered one of the largest in Russia.

This is not the first attack on Ufa's oil refining enterprises. Earlier, drones struck them on June 25 and July 8. The industrial zone where the plants are located is approximately 1,500 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

Following reports of a drone threat, a high alert regime was introduced in Bashkortostan. Ufa Airport also suspended operations for several hours, after which the restrictions were lifted.

Back in June, the head of Bashkortostan reported that up to a hundred mobile fire groups were being created in the region to counter drones. After this, according to open reports, the region has been repeatedly subjected to attacks. Among the objects that have already been hit were linear production and dispatch stations of the Transneft company and the Gazpromneftekhim Salavat petrochemical complex.
