Ukrainian singer was demanded to apologize for a video with a "good Russian". Her refusal caused a scandal

Ukrainian singer Olga Polyakova came under a wave of criticism.
In Ukraine, many were outraged that at Laima Vaikule's festival in Jūrmala, she appeared in a video with Russian blogger and musician Sergey Grigoryev-Apollonov. (This is the nephew of another Grigoryev-Apollonov from "Ivanushki". Sergey lives in emigration, recently gave an interview to Ksenia Sobchak. He spoke out against the war.)
In a recent interview, Polyakova commented on that video. She said that she did not follow Grigoryev-Apollonov's career, and the event itself was pro-Ukrainian.
She commented on the criticism directed at her because of her interaction with other Russian artists who did not support the war.
"Listen, you'll soon get people fed up with this betrayal. Everything is already like in a concentration camp. Ukraine is no longer a free country," said the singer.
"Look at these stars who are afraid to open their mouths. You constantly have to be afraid that you said something wrong to someone, took a photo with the wrong person, said the wrong thing in an interview, behaved incorrectly, or didn't cry where you should have."
Polyakova was outraged by the demand to apologize. It reminds her of a CPSU party meeting. "I don't owe anyone an explanation, I haven't done anything bad." The singer, who performs in Ukrainian and gave interviews in Ukrainian, believes that her own people criticize her more than others.
Polyakova defended Pugacheva and Galkin.
"Alla Pugacheva and Maxim Galkin had absolutely everything in Russia. One day, they packed up, left their home, left everything they had, and left the country so as not to be with the regime, with the country that commits great aggression against Ukraine. You understand, these people lost everything. They support Ukraine as best they can. And the fact that we criticize people for how they support Ukraine, well, we won't earn more support in the world that way. (…)
