The group agreed to full disarmament, the US President stated.

The Peace Council and Hamas reached a "historic agreement," according to which the group agreed to full disarmament. The US President wrote about this on the social network Truth Social.
According to the agreement, all other armed groups in Gaza must also disarm. "This is a monumental step towards lasting peace and security," he emphasized.
Trump added that the agreement will allow Gaza to be governed by a new Palestinian government in cooperation with the Peace Council, and Israel will receive the security "it deserves," as the enclave will no longer be a base for terrorist attacks.
The US President called the deal a crucial milestone in the implementation of his 20-point plan and emphasized that as disarmament proceeds, Israeli troops will withdraw, and international stabilization forces, along with a new Palestinian police, will ensure security in Gaza.
Trump also thanked the mediators — Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey — for their assistance, stating: "The threat that emerged from Gaza on October 7 will not be able to be reborn."
"Congratulations to everyone on this incredible achievement, which, as everyone said, could never be achieved!" he concluded.
