Lukashenka called for creation of "absolute weapon" against drones
"I'm thinking about this idea right now."
Yesterday, Alexander Lukashenka convened a meeting regarding the establishment of a new higher education institution – the Academy of Intellectual Technologies. He set a task: the university must have an applied focus – "first of all, for life."
"I strongly ask you, let's decide what directions will be there. Will we develop new types of drones there? Or will we create new materials and create these new materials in 200 years? Somewhere on the Kola Peninsula, they will find another element, you've probably heard, which is more expensive than gold, etc." - Lukashenka set ambitious goals.
The work of the institution, in his opinion, "must be oriented towards the future," but yield results:
"A spark, something flew into someone's head there, and perhaps the center will give a good result. It won't invent a drone <>, but it will invent a specific, more powerful means of combating drones and nullify all these drones in the world," he directed.
Lukashenka said he thinks a lot about UAVs:
"I'm thinking about this idea right now, thinking... Everyone is fussing, drones, we need drones... What if someone smart in a small country - in Israel, in Belarus, etc. - creates a system to combat these drones, against any drones? That's it! They stop flying. They fall, explode there, etc." - he mused.
