Who was the biker who provoked a deadly race on the streets of Brest, in which three people died — including himself

40-year-old welder Andrei Chykhun raced his motorcycle at speeds up to 200 km/h. This time, at a traffic light, he challenged a randomly encountered Audi to a race. The victims were Andrei's passenger — who was literally torn to pieces — and the scooter driver, who was returning home from fishing.

On July 31, a fatal accident occurred in Brest on the road towards the village of Telmy. The drivers of a Honda motorcycle and an Audi car staged a high-speed race on a busy street. As a result, the motorcycle collided with a Viper moped, which was moving in the same direction.

Three people died in the accident — the motorcycle driver, his passenger, and the moped driver. The motorcycle passenger was literally torn to pieces.

The Honda 929 motorcycle was driven by 40-year-old welder Andrei Chykhun.

Andrei Chykhun

From the man's social media, it was immediately clear that he lived for his motorcycle. He loved to drive fast, and at traffic lights, he would gesture to car drivers to race.

Even if he didn't manage to pull up next to a car while the light was red, he often initiated the competition himself — and bragged about it. He joked that racing with a BMW was more fun on the way home.

The man also posted moments when he avoided accidents: for example, when he dangerously rode between lanes of cars in a traffic jam and nearly collided with a turning taxi.

In the comments, Chykhun was repeatedly told that this was terrible behavior on the road — but Andrei replied "very cute" and "at least it's not boring."

On the eve of the tragedy, Andrei joked in threads about the safety of girls riding behind bikers. One commentator asked why passengers should wear helmets if the rest of their body is unprotected. Andrei jokingly replied that the girl in the photo had a cross in addition to her helmet.

Acquaintances say that the man genuinely loved to race and got a thrill from speeds of 200 kilometers per hour. Reviewing the videos the biker filmed, even higher speeds can be seen — 240 kilometers per hour.

Even when looking for company for trips to the "Belarusian Maldives," Andrei specified the technical requirements for companions' motorcycles — no less than 600 cc.

The man was divorced and had no children. He was, as they say, actively looking — Andrei's profiles are on various dating services. He periodically took girls for rides on his bike.

Andrei was recently buried. About 20 motorcyclists attended the funeral ceremony. They attached a bouquet of artificial flowers at the accident site, and brought a wreath to the cemetery with a ribbon reading "Eternal Season. From the Biker Brotherhood."

Little is known about Andrei's 32-year-old passenger — her name was Marina.

45-year-old Vadim Litvinchuk, who was riding a moped on that fateful evening, lived in the village of Telmy-1 with his parents and worked at the agricultural enterprise "Brestskiy Agrariy" driving a delivery vehicle. Acquaintances say the man never drove recklessly.

Friends say Vadim was returning home from fishing and was just a few hundred meters from his destination.
