Airlines with the best in-flight WI-FI named. Only one of them is European
The British company Skytrax has published a ranking of ten airlines with the best in-flight Wi-Fi. The ranking was first compiled within the World Airline Awards in 2026 and is based on passenger surveys regarding satisfaction with airline services, writes Euronews.

First place went to Qatar Airways, which was one of the first to implement Starlink satellite internet. Places from second to sixth were taken exclusively by American companies: second place went to Delta Air Lines, third to United Airlines. Further down were Alaska Airlines, jetBlue Airways, and Hawaiian Airlines.
Singapore Airlines took the seventh position. Eighth place went to the British Virgin Atlantic — the only European airline in the top ten. This carrier announced the launch of Starlink service to passengers in 2025 and plans to equip its entire fleet with this Wi-Fi by 2027. For Flying Club loyalty program members, internet will be free.
Taiwanese EVA Air took ninth place, and Emirates airline from the UAE took tenth.
Thus, American airlines dominate the top ten — there are five of them. Asia is represented by Singapore Airlines and EVA Air, Europe by only Virgin Atlantic, and the Middle East by Qatar Airways and Emirates.
In the overall World Airline Awards 2026 ranking, Singapore Airlines was named the best airline, Qatar Airways came in second, and Cathay Pacific Airways in third. Among European carriers, Turkish Airlines placed highest at fifth, while Air France took seventh position.
