Wildberries plans to hide its goods in warehouses in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan

The Russian marketplace Wildberries is changing its logistics after a series of attacks on its warehouse complexes. According to information shared by company representatives at meetings with sellers, goods for long-term storage are planned to be moved to warehouses in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, reports The Moscow Times.

According to participants of these meetings, the company has already begun redirecting some goods to foreign warehouses. Some logistics centers are already operational, while others are still under construction or being leased.

Sellers are concerned that such a scheme could increase delivery times and costs. In their opinion, the main sales volumes currently depend on long-term storage warehouses, and more complex logistics could weaken the marketplace's competitiveness.

Another problem could be the need for customs documentation when moving goods across state borders. This could create additional difficulties for some sellers.

In Kazakhstan, Wildberries already has about 46,000 square meters of warehouse space and is building another approximately 260,000 square meters, which are planned to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2027.

In Belarus, the company is also constructing a large logistics complex with an Harea of about 140,000 square meters. By May, about 20,000 square meters had been commissioned, and the full completion of construction is expected by the end of 2026 or early 2027. Additionally, the company previously announced its intention to build another warehouse complex in Belarus.

In Uzbekistan, Wildberries is establishing a Central Asian logistics hub, which is intended to consolidate new warehouse capacities and facilitate transportation between Russia, Uzbekistan, countries of the Middle East, and Africa.

According to analysts' estimates, Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory have damaged or destroyed Wildberries' warehouse facilities totaling approximately 0.9—1.15 million square meters, which accounts for about a fifth of the company's logistics infrastructure. This has already led to increased delivery times and rising transportation costs.
