Former Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Olga Stefanishyna Accused of Corruption
Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed her just yesterday.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine on August 5 announced suspicion against former Vice Prime Minister and ex-Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Olga Stefanishyna, writes RBC-Ukraine.
Law enforcement officials suspect the 40-year-old official of illicit enrichment and providing inaccurate information in her declaration.
The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has already begun consideration of the case for electing a pre-trial detention measure for her. Stefanishyna's lawyers petitioned for the court hearings to be held in closed session.
The investigation into Stefanishyna has been ongoing for some time: NABU and SAP conducted searches at her residence back in late July. It is not exactly known what she is accused of. Media outlets suggest that during her time working in the government and diplomatic corps, she registered a number of elite real estate properties in the names of relatives and trusted individuals, the value of which significantly exceeds her official income.
Stefanishyna herself previously denied the accusations and claimed that the real estate was purchased by her parents using long-term investments.
On Monday, August 3, it became known that Zelenskyy had relieved Stefanishyna of her post as ambassador to the USA. Stefanishyna, in turn, announced that she had resigned of her own free will.
