Lavrov informed Rubio about the Russian army's intention to deliver massive strikes on Kyiv
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke by phone with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported .

Reportedly, Lavrov "officially conveyed to the American side" information that Russian troops "are commencing systematic and consistent strikes on objects located in Kyiv that are used for the needs of the AFU, and on relevant decision-making centers."
Furthermore, Lavrov reminded Rubio about the "high-level" "Agreements in Anchorage" and accused Europe and Ukraine of undermining these agreements.
Earlier on May 25, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs threatened new strikes on Kyiv. It is claimed that the Russian army "is commencing consistent systematic strikes" on Ukrainian military-industrial complex enterprises in Kyiv. The Foreign Ministry also stated that strikes would be carried out on "decision-making centers" and command posts.
Russian authorities linked this to the strike on Starobilsk in the Russian-controlled part of Luhansk region, carried out on the night of May 22. The Foreign Ministry stated that this attack allegedly "overflowed the cup of patience."
