In the garden cooperative of the Union of Belarusian Writers «Uzgor'e-2», a dacha house where Belarusian writer Aleś Bačyła lived has been put up for sale, as noticed by Realt.by.
The garden cooperative «Uzgor'e-2» is located 17 kilometers from Minsk in the Maladzyechna direction and four kilometers from Zaslaŭje. From Minsk, a shuttle bus and a regular bus run there from the «Pushkinskaya» metro station. The bus stop is a ten-minute walk from the house.
The cooperative is located on a hill and is surrounded by forest. A mobile shop visits twice a week. The road to the cooperative is cleared even in winter; some neighbors live here year-round. A shop also operates throughout the season.
The dacha, put up for sale, is two-story. On the first floor, there are two rooms and a kitchen. The second floor is an attic, requiring renovation. The total area is 56 square meters. The house is a log structure. Water here is seasonal, and heating is by stove.
The plot area is 4.28 ares. A lawn is planted on it. There is a summer kitchen.
The agent handling the sale says this is the dacha of Aleś Bačyła — a Belarusian writer who was born in 1918 and died in 1983. Aleś Bačyła was an Honored Cultural Figure of the BSSR; he is known as a poet, prose writer, playwright, translator, and editor. Belarusians may know the author from poems they studied in school, and Bačyła is also the author of the famous song «Radzima maja darahaja» (My Dear Homeland), which at one time even claimed the role of the national anthem.
The dacha of the Belarusian writer is offered for sale for 20 thousand dollars.
