An exhibition of platbands is taking place in Zaslaŭje. An enthusiast collected and restored them throughout the country
The exhibition "Wooden Lace" by Uladzimir Tsverka is taking place in the museum and exhibition complex of the Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Zaslaŭje" (Rynkavaya St., 4).
This is the first public demonstration of the collection of wooden platbands, assembled by the artist, designer, restorer, and traveler Uladzimir Tsverka.
The platband — a wooden decoration of a window or door opening — was the main adornment of a Belarusian house, its "face" and talisman. Master carvers worked with wood as delicately as weavers wove the lace of their towels — which is why the exhibition is called "Wooden Lace".
This exhibition is about the beauty we are losing: the wooden architecture of Belarusian villages is fading into oblivion, and with it, the platbands are disappearing. Uladzimir Tsverka has been collecting these examples for many years throughout Belarus, literally rescuing them from under bulldozers and restoring them.

"Didn't like the products on the shelf — and they write an SMS there." The Ministry of Internal Affairs called Threads a security threat and announced arrests
