In the Russian army, a Belarusian mercenary was hung upside down from a tree and beaten with a stick on his genitals
«I'll make mashed potatoes out of you, understood?» — the commander shouts at him and continues to beat him.

The British newspaper The Sun published stories about how Russian commanders torture their own soldiers. Reportedly, one of the victims is a Belarusian.
In this recording, a fighter hangs upside down from a tree: he was tied by his feet with a rope to a branch. The commander repeatedly hits him with a stick, while he tries to cover his genitals with his hands.
«I'll make mashed potatoes out of you. Understood?» — shouts the officer.
It is assumed that the victim is from Belarus, because, as the British explain, «he is addressed with the word 'bulbash' — a derogatory nickname for Belarusians.»
Other information about this person — name, unit number, place of filming — is not available in the publications.
It is unknown exactly why he was punished. According to reports, he might have refused to go into battle — and for such an offense, people are killed in the Russian army.
This is not the only recording. In another video, the commander of a Russian unit kicks a soldier who is curled up on the ground. In a third, a fighter is tied to a tree and beaten with a stick on his bare back. Here, the victim is from Bashkortostan; he is also addressed derogatorily: «You, Bashkir.» His fault is that he did not contribute money with others for the purchase of drones.

«So you decided to save money, not investing, f***! Your buddies are collecting their last kopecks for drones, f***… They're investing, f***!» — shouts the executioner. The beaten soldier, in agony, replies: «I will invest, I will invest!»
