"We have repeatedly said that we are not going to attack Europe."
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed hope that European countries remember Moscow's warnings about a military conflict. He stated this while speaking at the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg, RBC writes.
“We have repeatedly said that we are not going to attack Europe. The President recently elaborated on this topic again and emphasized that we have no interest in doing so. But if Europe, which daily talks about preparing for war against Russia, attacks the Russian Federation, then it will be a completely different war, and it will be very short,” he said.
Earlier, on September 14, 12 European countries issued a joint statement in which they called on the European Union to take on a more strategic and active role in the European Arctic, including amidst increased Russian activity in the region.
