From August 28-30, the capital will host the Uzbek Melon Festival – a cultural and gastronomic event designed to introduce visitors to the traditions, national cuisine, and agricultural potential of Uzbekistan, BelTA writes.

Residents and guests of Minsk will be presented with various varieties of famous Uzbek melons, as well as fresh and processed fruit and vegetable products. Visitors will be able to participate in tastings and get acquainted with the peculiarities of Uzbek gastronomic culture.
A special place in the program will be given to performances by national musical and dance groups, and presentations of the traditions and customs of the Uzbek people.
The venue has not yet been announced, but it could be the area near the Palace of Sports, or the Uzbekistan Trading House on Pobediteley Avenue.
