"We can take practically anything we want." Trump on the agreement with Ukraine on mineral resources
"It was a pretty profitable deal," the US President said.
Donald Trump made a statement regarding an agreement on rare-earth resources, which, according to him, provides the United States with access to Ukrainian mineral resources and could turn out to be more profitable than the amount of American aid to Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine writes.
"We made an agreement (with Ukraine)... We have a signed contract. As for rare-earth resources, we can go in there at any moment. We can take practically anything we want. It was a pretty profitable deal."
According to the head of the White House, Ukraine is "very rich" in rare-earth resources, and the value of the concluded agreement, in his opinion, could significantly exceed the amount of American aid.
He suggested that the cost of access to these resources could exceed $300 billion, so the contract is profitable in any case, and Washington "will get its money back."
