Minsk resident brought a gecko in a suitcase from Zanzibar and is looking for a new home for it
A Belarusian woman returned from a vacation in Zanzibar and, while unpacking her things, discovered an unexpected souvenir in her suitcase — a small gecko.

The girl published a photo of the tiny tourist on Threads and shared the story: «We flew to Zanzibar. Returned home. Unpacking the suitcase — and out comes a GECKO. So, we bought tickets, went through passport control, flew for several hours… and this fellow simply chose the 'luggage' tariff. Now we are urgently looking for a place to settle our illegal tourist, as the Belarusian climate clearly wasn't part of his plans.»
According to the author, in the hotel, such lizards nimbly ran along the walls and caught mosquitoes.
In the comments, users began actively suggesting options for what to do with the unusual guest and joking about its adventures:
«Miscalculated, but where. Thoughts of a gecko».
«Without knowing the language, it will be difficult for him».
Some suggested leaving the gecko simply in the apartment:
«With us, they just live at home, feed themselves; this year we have three. You can just let them out, let it hang out.»
