The Acting Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Valeriy Vavrynyuk, made a working trip to the units guarding the Ukrainian-Belarusian section of the border, reports the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
He checked the organization of border guard service under martial law conditions, paying special attention to the readiness of units to respond to potential threats and the further strengthening of defensive capabilities.
Vavrynyuk familiarized himself with the state of engineering border arrangements and fortification infrastructure in Volyn and Rivne regions, as well as the operation of command and observation posts and the equipping of servicemen with equipment and weaponry.
The head of the department also visited hard-to-reach sections of the border, including marshy and aquatic territories of Polissia, where he became acquainted with the specifics of organizing service in conditions of dense forests and complex terrain.
