Some experts called Turkey a dark horse, capable of making noise in the playoffs. But the national team suffered its second defeat at the World Cup.

This morning, the Turks lost to Paraguay 0:1.
Matías Galarza scored a goal in the second minute, making it currently the fastest goal at the World Cup.
After two rounds: USA — 6 points, Australia, Paraguay — 3, Turkey — 0.
In the first round of the World Cup, the Turks lost to Australia 0:2. Turkey lost its chances for third place, which could have given them a spot in the playoffs. The match against the USA will no longer decide anything.
At the end of the first half, Paraguayan Miguel Almirón was sent off.
A skirmish occurred, during which the 32-year-old Paraguayan covered his mouth with his hands and said something to Turkish defender Mert Müldür. The Turk immediately drew referee Iván Barton's attention to it. The Salvadoran referee went to the monitor to review the replay of the episode, after which he sent Almirón off.
It is believed that a player covers their mouth to say something racist, which is an automatic red card. This is the first red card in history after a player covered their mouth with their hand.
This rule was established after the 1/4 final match of the Champions League between Benfica and Real Madrid, where Portuguese player Gianluca Prestiani insulted Vinicius Júnior by covering his mouth with his shirt collar. Prestiani denied that he made a racist remark.
