Aliaksandr Lukashenka, visiting the construction of the National Historical Museum on April 18, suggested rethinking the museum's name. And he was right.

The name has been removed from the National Historical Museum. This is visible in recent construction photos, where, as BelTA writes, 90% of the work has already been completed. But some will start over.
When Lukashenka visited the construction site on April 18, the museum had a name. But Lukashenka didn't like it.

«Some critics, as historians, criticize us for naming it the National Historical Museum of Belarus. History, as I recall, in our time was defined as the science of the past. But we also reflect the present here, and perhaps we will look into the future somewhere. Maybe it should just be the National Museum," he said.
The decision to rename the museum was not announced.
