37 people died as a result of strikes on Kyiv region

Most of the victims are from a boarding house for the elderly, next to which an ammunition depot was located.

37 people died and another 42 were injured as a result of strikes on the Kyiv region on August 28. This was announced by the head of the regional administration, Timur Tkachenko.

According to him, among the dead is the head of the Dmytrivka hromada, Taras Didich.

“According to reports, 42 people received injuries of varying severity, including four children. Everyone received qualified assistance, seven injured were hospitalized,” Tkachenko added.

About 380 people were evacuated.

The strike was also commented on by Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his Telegram channel.

“There was a strike on a warehouse with subsequent detonation. Unfortunately, there is significant destruction of the surrounding infrastructure: residential buildings, a boarding house for the elderly and people with disabilities were damaged,” the President of Ukraine wrote.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that the village of Mylaya was attacked, where an ammunition depot was located. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, it housed "parts and booster rockets for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles FP-1/FP-2".

There is no independent confirmation of this information.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky compared what happened in Mylaya to the explosion and subsequent fire in Vyshneve on July 6, where an ammunition depot located near residential buildings was attacked. He declared "criminal negligence".
