The Belarusian duo Yulia Trushkina and Inna Nyadzyelkina became world champions in the C2 (canoe double) 200-meter race.

The World Sprint Canoe Championship is currently taking place in Poznań, Poland. In the final race, the Belarusian women needed 42.26 seconds to cover the distance. They beat the representatives of Uzbekistan by 0.26 seconds and the Chinese pair by 0.39 seconds.
For Trushkina and Nyadzyelkina, this is their third consecutive World Championship medal. In 2024, they also became world champions in this discipline, and in 2025, they won silver.
Another award for Belarus on this day was brought by Alena Nazdrova, who became a bronze medalist in the C1 (canoe single) 500-meter race.
Yesterday, Belarusians won two bronze medals at this championship.
In the C1 200m race, Andrei Zholobov finished third with a result of 41.15 seconds. This is his first medal at a senior World Championship.
Also, in the C2 500m race, Angelina Bardanovskaya and Inna Nyadzyelkina (the same athlete) won bronze with a result of 2 minutes and 02.67 seconds.
