Belarusian maniac released in Russia after being sentenced to over 20 years for rape

Pavel Paulyukevich wanted to stay in Russia, but he was sent back to his homeland — where he had also served time for rape.

In October 2025, Belarusian criminal Pavel Paulyukevich was released from a penal colony in Roslavl (Smolensk region), Russia. He spent several more months fighting in court for the right to live in Russia, but was eventually denied and sent to Belarus.

In the 1990s, Paulyukevich had three convictions in Belarus — for hooliganism, threatening a woman with murder, and raping a 16-year-old girl. In total, he served about seven years then. Afterwards, he went to Russia with his wife and young child for work, laying tiles.

In 2004, he was arrested. "Moskovsky Komsomolets" described two of Paulyukevich's crimes. First, he attacked an 18-year-old girl who was returning home late at night, raped her, and stole two mobile phones. Soon after, he went to a store near his home where an advertisement for a room was posted. Paulyukevich offered accommodation to a young saleswoman, invited her to see the room, and raped her.

The final indictment added another story — "intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death."

Initially, Paulyukevich was sentenced to 22 years in prison; over time, he managed to reduce the term to 20 years and 10 months.
