Minsk has completed the planned reconstruction of the bridge over Svislach and opened it for traffic, reports the Minsk City Executive Committee.

During the work, the old road surface was dismantled, and the bearing capacity of the monolithic slab was restored by creating a new one. The waterproofing and all layers of the road surface were also replaced.
The renovation also affected the pedestrian part of the bridge: the railings and lighting were restored. Since the bridge has the status of a historical and cultural value, its appearance was decided to be preserved.
Part of the work on the bridge is still ongoing. Therefore, the pedestrian paths on the bridge itself and underneath it remain closed for now. Work is also underway beneath the bridge.
