Poczobut: In September I will return to Belarus to expand the space for freedom of expression there
The journalist stated that he would return to Grodno, where a congress of Poles in Belarus will take place on September 13.

The ex-political prisoner was a special guest at the "Poland of the Future" conference. He again stated that he would return to Belarus in September, reports Polskie Radio.
— It's natural for a person to want to return home, — he said during a meeting with young people. — The Grodno region, the Neman river, the city of Grodno, Vyalikaya Byerastavitsa, where I was born — these are special places for me and it's natural for a person to want to return home. I don't think anyone needs an explanation.
Andrzej Poczobut emphasized that he is aware of the consequences he may face. He stressed that he "intends to expand the space for freedom of expression in Belarus" and added that Poles in Belarus are waiting for him.
— There is a Polish minority and the Union of Poles in Belarus, people are waiting. My conversations with activists of the Union of Poles very often begin or end with the question: when will you arrive? I have not changed my plans and I am returning to Grodno in September.
