According to him, US control over the majority of more than 65 billion barrels has been secured.

Trump announced the conclusion of the largest oil deal in history with Venezuela. The US President wrote about this on the social network Truth Social.
"At my direction, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, working closely with the esteemed interim President of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez and through a partnership with private business, have secured US control over the majority of more than 65 billion barrels of proven oil reserves in Venezuela without cost to American taxpayers," Donald Trump stated.
According to him, as a result of the deal, the US will more than double its oil reserves, increase oil imports, and in the future, this will allow for "significantly lower gasoline prices for all Americans."
"This deal will significantly strengthen the already increasingly close relationship between Venezuela and the United States!" Trump noted.
