Young lawyer Miroslav Bandarenka sentenced for politics and declared a "terrorist"
At the beginning of the year, the guy defended his dissertation on investments in human capital, and then ended up behind bars.

28-year-old lawyer Miroslav Bandarenka was sentenced for "calls for actions aimed at causing harm to the national security of Belarus" (Art. 361 of the Criminal Code). He faced up to five years of "chemistry" (restricted freedom) or up to six years in a penal colony. The exact sentence is not yet known. The KGB included the guy in its list of "terrorists".
Miroslav Bandarenka is a graduate of the BSU Faculty of Law. After graduating from the university, he went into academia – in early 2026, he defended his dissertation on the topic "Legal regime of investments in human capital".
