Head of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry sharply reacted to the revocation of Zelenskyy's order and will return his own Polish award
"Only Moscow benefits."

Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiha, has strongly criticized Polish President Karol Nawrocki, who revoked the Order of the White Eagle from Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Ukrainian diplomat called this step a "strategic mistake," from which only the Russian side will benefit.
The Foreign Minister expressed regret that in Warsaw, "emotions took over," leading to unjustified, impulsive, and disrespectful steps not only towards the Ukrainian president but also towards the entire Eastern neighbor in general.
"It's not about orders, it's about attitude. We have always advocated for an approach of mutual respect — even when it comes to difficult and problematic topics. And this implies that we respect each other's decisions even when we disagree with them," says Sybiha.
He believes that, against the backdrop of war, the current escalation is counterproductive and not needed by either Ukrainians or Poles.
"We regret that instead of seeking solutions, the Polish side chose to escalate this aggravation to an unacceptable and inadequate level.
No president of another country will dictate our history to us," he added.
In protest, Andriy Sybiha himself renounced the Commander's Cross with Star of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland and promised to officially return the award to the Polish side in the near future.
