Belarusian presenter shared his beauty routine at 32 — it's not just face cream

Maksim Parshuta is a journalist, host of the podcasts "Half an Hour of Cardio" and "Made in Poland". Recently, he decided to share his beauty routine on social media.

Maksim started learning about skincare when he was a teenager. His first beauty product was salicylic acid — he used it to fight acne. In his student years, Maksim decided to pursue professional care and went to a cosmetologist for a facial cleansing to remove breakouts from his face: it was painful but effective.

Over time, he realized that skincare is not just salicylic acid and soap and water. Now he has a multi-step beauty routine, about which Maksim jokes on social media:

«I get asked for my ID in stores, and my girlfriend is annoyed by these rules of mine for facial skincare».

The first part of the routine is skincare cosmetics. He writes that he uses them in the morning and before bed, and for him, it's an essential part of the day.

«I don't leave the house without cream on my face and I don't go to bed without it. What I use: always a cleanser and a moisturizer, almost always a toner. Before leaving the house, I also apply SPF cream to avoid the terrible word "photoaging". Yes, you need it even on cloudy days,» Maksim says.

The guy calls skin hydration his favorite step in his routine. For him, it's so important that in rare cases, if he forgets to apply cream and remembers it after leaving the house, he goes back to put it on.

Such a routine, of course, takes time, especially since sometimes he also tests anti-aging products on himself. It comes out to 20-30 minutes for care in the morning and evening, which means an hour a day and 7 hours a week — this annoys both Maksim and his girlfriend, he admits.

In addition to home skincare, Maksim also dedicates time to professional care:

«I go to cosmetologists. I've worked with different ones, always paying attention to reviews and their approach. It's cool when they don't promise to solve all problems in one session.

No, it's not shameful for a man to go to a cosmetologist. Personally, I believe everyone should at least go for a consultation. No, consulting a cosmetologist says nothing about sexual orientation.»

Maksim talks about the procedures he had done by a specialist:

«Of course, cleansing. I also had laser hair removal on my face to prevent mustache and beard growth — they said it also helps with skin condition. There was also a carbon peeling, and an alginate mask.

Probably, that's something most vivid and fun. There were also various useful professional moisturizers and skin firming treatments with creams, vitamins, and whatever else can be used for that.»

Another beauty rule of Maksim's is never to touch his face with his hands: it's believed that through our hands we can transfer dirt and bacteria to our face, and also stretch the skin, which contributes to wrinkles. Parshuta says he doesn't allow other people to touch his face either. The only exception is his girlfriend.

Next comes diet. Maksim doesn't drink lactose milk and tries to drink coffee without milk at all, drinks at least a liter of water daily, and rarely consumes chips, alcohol, and sweet soda. However, he allows himself a lot of sweets.

All this might work at 32, but in the future, it might be time for more serious methods. Maksim accepts them:

«I'm fine with Botox and other more invasive methods than just applying cream. I have a good attitude towards plastic surgery if it's a conscious choice; I myself had surgery on my ears.

If it's safe, if you yourself want it, and it will make you happy — it's worth doing. And with good specialists, of course.»
