Iran has announced that it is closing the Strait of Hormuz again, Al Jazeera reports.
Iran cited continued Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, which violates the ceasefire agreement with the United States. The Central Command of the Iranian army threatened new measures if the strikes continue.
Israel and Hezbollah had concluded a ceasefire agreement the day before, despite Israel continuing to shell southern Lebanon.
The US and Iran signed a peace agreement on June 18. One of the points of the 60-day agreement was the cessation of Israeli strikes on Lebanon. It also stipulated the lifting of sanctions on Tehran and the creation of a fund for Iran's recovery.
