According to Gololobov, the main reasons for this are traffic safety and the need to adhere to the schedule. He noted that a driver cannot always notice a person rushing to the transport through the rearview mirror.
The head of "Minsktrans" also reminded that according to the rules, passengers must wait for the vehicle directly at the stop.
"However harsh it may sound, a person running after a bus or trolleybus is not yet a passenger. They are a pedestrian," noted Konstantin Gololobov.
According to him, drivers are primarily obliged to ensure the safety of transportation and adherence to the traffic schedule.
