Third bank introduces fee for accepting Russian rubles from foreigners
BNB-Bank introduces a 5% commission for accepting cash Russian rubles from non-residents.
Another Belarusian financial institution has restricted operations with cash Russian currency for foreigners. BNB-Bank announced the introduction of a 5% fee for accepting cash Russian rubles for crediting to non-resident accounts.
New rules will be introduced in two stages:
from June 20, the commission will begin to be charged when crediting funds to accounts opened starting from this date;
from July 18, the tariff will also become mandatory for accounts that were opened before June 20.
BNB-Bank has become the third major bank in the country to take such a step. Earlier, Alfa-Bank (where changes will come into force on July 14) and MTBank (introducing the commission in stages from June 19 and July 20) announced the introduction of a similar 5% commission.
