US military personnel, in coordination with Venezuelan forces, killed the leader of Venezuela's largest gang, "Tren de Aragua", Niño Guerrero, on the order of Donald Trump. The president wrote about this on Truth Social.

"By my order, the US Southern Command delivered a swift and deadly kinetic strike, successfully eliminating Niño Guerrero — the infamous leader of 'Tren de Aragua', one of the bloodiest terrorist organizations on the planet," Trump wrote.

He added that the USA avenged the fallen, their families, and loved ones. According to the president, at the beginning of his administration, he included gangs in the list of foreign terrorist organizations, expelled "thousands of dangerous criminals," and declared "war on cartels."

Trump emphasized that "Tren de Aragua" now has no sanctuary "neither in Venezuela nor anywhere else," and stated: "We will find these brutal murderers and drug lords anytime, anywhere, and send them to the depths of hell, where they belong."

Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth confirmed the elimination of the "Tren de Aragua" leader: "The founder and leader of 'Tren de Aragua', Héctor Rustenford Guerrero Flores, known as 'Niño Guerrero', was eliminated as a result of the strike."
