A week later, the man came to retrieve his catch. There were eight fish of different species in the traps. He put them in a bag and hid them in his backpack, but on the way, he was stopped by an employee of the environmental protection service.
The fisherman admitted that he had used illegal fishing gear and showed the places where they were installed. The damage caused to nature amounted to more than 5800 rubles. The man voluntarily compensated this sum in full.
His actions are qualified as illegal fishing using prohibited devices during the spawning ban. He fully admitted his guilt, cooperates with the investigation, and handed over all prohibited fishing gear.
