Iran launched missiles at Israel after an Israeli strike on Beirut — sirens sounded in several areas of Israel.
"The Israeli Air Force is currently carrying out interception and strike missions where necessary," the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported.
This is the first attack since the ceasefire on April 8.
The commander of the Iranian Armed Forces Staff stated that the Israeli army must stop attacks on southern Lebanon, or it will face "more powerful strikes that will cause regret."
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has already threatened retaliatory strikes. "Tonight, Tehran must burn," he wrote on X.
