Ukraine launched 992 drones at Russia in 24 hours. This is a war record
These figures show how much Ukraine's capabilities have grown, as it could not match Russia in the intensity of strikes on enemy rear areas at the beginning of the war.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that air defense forces shot down 992 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones, four long-range cruise missiles, and ten guided aerial bombs in 24 hours. This strike not only broke Ukraine's previous record for the number of drones used per day but also exceeded the maximum number of UAVs launched by Russia in a single day, writes "Agentstvo".
The Russian Ministry of Defense reports only on downed drones, which suggests that there were actually more drones.
Ukraine's previous record strike was recorded on June 6. At that time, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of 911 drones, 13 aerial bombs, and four HIMARS shells.
The largest Russian strike on Ukraine during the war occurred on March 24. At that time, Russia attacked Ukraine with a total of 948 drones in 24 hours.
What does this mean?
These figures demonstrate the growth of Ukraine's capabilities. In the first years of the war, the Ukrainian Armed Forces could not match the Russian army in the intensity of strikes deep into enemy territory.
The turning point occurred this year. In March, the number of drones used by Ukraine exceeded the number of UAVs launched by Russia over the month.
At that time, according to the Ukrainian monitoring channel "Oko Hora", Russia launched 6462 UAVs at Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, attacked Russia with 7551 UAVs in March.
In April, Russia launched more drones than Ukraine (6583 and 4801 respectively). However, in May, Ukrainian military again exceeded the number of drones launched by Russia (8973 and 8150 respectively).
Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the massive strike on Moscow on June 18 a "just response" to Russian attacks.
According to him, Ukraine will not "sit quietly" if Russia continues the war: "If Ukraine burns, your Moscow will burn too."
Hours earlier, the largest drone attack on Moscow since the beginning of the war occurred. Ukrainian drones and their debris damaged targets in at least 10 locations in the capital region, as evidenced by official statements and videos published on social media.
Drone strikes on the Moscow Oil Refinery in Kapotnya, which was the main target of the raid, led to fires in at least six locations on the enterprise's territory, including on the main oil processing unit, according to "Agentstvo"'s analysis.
Vladimir Putin has been speaking at the ASEAN summit in Kazan since morning but has not commented on the Ukrainian strikes.
