Lukashenka commented on the bus attack in Bryansk Oblast during a meeting with military officials.
"If someone provoked us and tries to drag us into war, I think it will end badly for those who try to do it. We are behaving calmly. Someone doesn't like that Belarus is a calm state, which is why all this is happening. We hear statements, excuses, different versions. But we need the truth.
And we are waiting for this truth or a real, fair, honest answer from Ukrainian government officials, military personnel, and people. We will still find out this truth—it won't be a big problem," Pool of the First quotes his words.
Yesterday, June 17, in Bryansk Oblast, a bus was damaged which was transporting children from the football team of Children's and Youth Sports School №2 in Rechytsa, as well as students from a private dance studio. According to Russian authorities, the strike was allegedly carried out by a Ukrainian drone.
As a result of the incident, a woman died who was accompanying the group of children and was the coach's wife. Eight more people, including six children, sustained injuries of varying severity.
Yesterday and today, the bus passengers were brought to Belarus.
