Why are Minsk buses yellow and trolleybuses — lime green? It turns out, there's a logic to it
The colors of Minsk public transport are not a coincidence or a designer's whim. Since 2014, a unified color concept has been in effect in the capital: buses are painted bright yellow, trolleybuses are pistachio or lime green, and trams are turquoise. The enterprise "Minsktrans" explains that a very simple and practical logic stands behind this.

The main goal of such a system is passenger convenience. A person should be able to understand from a distance what type of transport is approaching the stop, even before being able to make out the route numbers.
This is especially important in bad weather, fog, rain, or at very busy stops during rush hour, when several vehicles approach simultaneously.
This same principle has been transferred to electronic display boards at stops. So that passengers don't get confused, buses in the schedule are indicated in yellow, and trolleybuses — in green. Thus, the color-coded navigation works as a single whole.
