Daveigh Chase's most famous role was in the horror film "The Ring," and she also voiced the character Lilo in the cartoon "Lilo & Stitch."

Actress Daveigh Chase died on Tuesday from complications caused by meningitis. She was only 35 years old.
Her boyfriend Roy Hernandez informed TMZ about Chase's death. He had created a GoFundMe page this week to raise funds to support the ailing actress.
"Daveigh was diagnosed with meningitis and several serious blood infections. Her condition became critical, and doctors told me she might not have much longer to live," he wrote.
According to Hernandez, the blood infection caused septic complications and led to organ failure.
Daveigh Elizabeth Chase was born on July 24, 1990, in Las Vegas. She began her career as a child actress at the age of seven, appearing in commercials and performing on stage.
She started acting at eight years old — "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," "Charmed," "ER."
Her real breakthrough came in 2002 when she voiced Lilo in the animated film "Lilo & Stitch." Chase continued to voice the character in sequels and a TV series that aired from 2003-2006.

In 2002, Daveigh starred in the horror hit "The Ring" by Gore Verbinski, who would later direct "Pirates of the Caribbean."
You probably remember her character — Samara Morgan — the long-haired girl in a white dress with deadly supernatural abilities — she became the film's most recognizable character. For this role, Chase received an MTV Movie Award for Best Villain.
After participating in several projects in the mid-2010s, Chase largely retired from acting.
Roy Hernandez mentioned the difficulties she faced in life, including bullying, family conflicts, and health problems.
