MFA summoned Ukraine's Charge d'Affaires and handed him a note of protest
"The Republic of Belarus resolutely condemns this inhumane terrorist act, for which there is and can be no justification," states the MFA.

Today, Ivan Novitsky, the Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was handed a note of protest. This was reported by MFA Press Secretary Ruslan Varankou.
According to him, the Belarusian side demanded exhaustive explanations from Ukraine and the conduct of an investigation.
"The Ukrainian side has been informed that as a result of this heinous crime, a citizen of Belarus died, and six more citizens, including five children, were injured, some of whom are in serious condition. The Republic of Belarus resolutely condemns this inhumane terrorist act, for which there is and can be no justification.
The Belarusian side demanded exhaustive explanations regarding the incident from the Ukrainian side, the conduct of an immediate and objective investigation, and the provision of information on bringing all responsible persons to the strictest accountability.
Belarus will continue to take all necessary measures to protect the lives and safety of its citizens and reserves the right to take appropriate measures against the Ukrainian side," Varankou said.
