Collapse in the sky: Aeroflot has already canceled its third flight to Minsk, Belavia also changes schedule
A massive drone attack on the Moscow region on the morning of June 18 led to serious disruptions in air communication between the capitals of Russia and Belarus.
As BELTA reports, citing the carrier's online scoreboard, the Russian company Aeroflot has already canceled its third round-trip flight from Moscow to Minsk and back today.
This time, the evening flight SU1832 from Sheremetyevo (departure at 18:40) and, accordingly, the return flight from the Belarusian capital (at 21:10) were canceled. Previously, two more daytime Aeroflot flights were canceled.
In addition, flight SU1836 is delayed by more than 5 hours and will depart from Moscow only at 8 PM. The return flight SU1837 will depart from Minsk at 22:20 instead of 17:20.
The airline asks passengers of canceled flights not to come to the airport and to rebook tickets remotely.
Belarusian Belavia was also forced to react to the changes in Moscow airports. The carrier has already adjusted the departure times of some of today's flights. Despite the fact that flight restrictions in Moscow have been lifted at the moment, Belavia warned that schedule fluctuations might persist on Friday, June 19.
Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights on the Belarusian company's website before heading to the airport.
