For "Dazhynki" in Kalinkavichy, pink tiles are being replaced with blue, and the price is astronomical

As part of preparations for the regional festival-fair "Dazhynki-2026" in Kalinkavichy, work has begun on re-laying sidewalk tiles, writes "Flagstock".

The tiles are being completely re-laid on Lenin Square in front of the executive committee administrative building. The works were not carried out through the public procurement service. The new tile will feature an ornament of an unusual blue color for urban landscaping. Previously, the pattern was pink.

However, photos from 2025 show no significant defects in the sidewalk covering on the square — visually, there was no apparent reason for repair and replacement of the tiles.

The exact cost of these works is unknown, but according to approximate calculations, it could reach 1 million rubles or approximately 300 thousand dollars. The area of the tiled paving is about 10,000 sq. m. For dismantling old tiles and laying new paving according to the sketch, according to the rates, between 800 thousand and 1.1 million rubles are needed.

And this is despite the fact that almost 3 million rubles (1 million dollars) have already been invested in the current and capital repairs of the executive committee building — according to previously published tenders. The repair is still ongoing and is expected to be completed just in time for "Dazhynki".

It is assumed that the tiles dismantled from the square will be used for landscaping school territories.

Axe, Рамонт хлева для прыкарытнікаў таксама важна, як і пляц для іх выгула. Яшчэ б які флагшток туды ўпендзюрыць хаця б за паўмільёна і можна жыць.
