Zelenskyy confirmed his meeting with Abramovich. He brought a message from Putin

Zelenskyy stated that he would not cede Donbas to Russia.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed a meeting with Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich in May of this year.

«He came to Kyiv. He said: «I brought a message directly to you and I want to take your messages to convey them to Putin»," Zelenskyy said in an interview with Sky News.

He added that Abramovich asked for the meeting to be held without publicity and wanted to understand what Ukraine was willing to concede if it came to peace talks.

Zelenskyy stated that he would not cede Donbas to Russia: «This was the key message. I declared that we would not leave there. We will not give you victory in this way».
