Polish Film Institute Supported Belarusian Directors — Kaspierski's Horror and Paluyan's Drama to Receive Funding
The budget for Aliaksei Paluyan's new film is expected to be over $3 million, but the support received is significantly less.

Belarusian directors received funding for their films from the Polish Film Institute (PISF), as noted by the 'Holy Belawood' channel.
In particular, director Andrei Kaspierski received funding for his feature-length horror film "Trial of the Dead". The film will be based on his eponymous short horror film, which was released by the author last year.
Apparently, the declared budget for "Trial of the Dead" amounts to 2.116 million zlotys (about 500 thousand euros). The Polish state supported the project with 90% of state funds. The remaining financing must be found by the authors themselves.
Additionally, director Aliaksei Paluyan received additional funding for the film "Legacy". His film will be dedicated to a Belarusian family during the political crisis after 2020 and the start of the full-scale war in 2022.
The total budget for the film is 12,376,250 zlotys (about 2.92 million euros), and the request was for 3 million zlotys (about 708 thousand euros). The Film Institute supported the team with only 1.5 million zlotys (about 354 thousand euros).
