In 2026, Belarus will see a transformation of sick leaves, making it possible to work with electronic incapacity certificates. This was announced by Sergei Rudnev, First Deputy General Director of the Agency for Digital Transformation, reports BelTA.

According to him, this is important not only for the patient but also for the employer. Such an innovation will ensure transparency, timely provision of information, and a reduction in the burden on citizens and businesses.
Not only sick leaves will transition to an electronic format in 2026. From January 1, a centralized healthcare information system will be put into commercial operation.
This software should unite all medical institutions — from FELSHER-MIDWIFE POSTS to RSPC (Republican Scientific and Practical Centers), which will facilitate information exchange.
