In Belarus, 180 brigades are carrying out restoration work. A storm front and squally winds caused electricity problems in several regions of the country, Minenergo reported.
Power supply disruptions were recorded in 438 localities. The most difficult situation is in the Minsk, Vitebsk, Grodno, and Gomel regions.
In the Minsk region, 295 localities were temporarily left without power. The damage mainly affected 10 kV distribution networks — 95 power transmission lines were disconnected.
To reinforce the existing brigades, additional forces from the Brest, Mogilev, and Vitebsk regions have been sent to the Minsk region.
The most difficult situation remains in the Vileika district, where bad weather affected 172 localities.
20 10 kV power transmission lines were damaged; there are damages to poles and mass tree falls.
More than 20 emergency restoration brigades are working in the district, with specialists additionally arriving from other regions.
